Il progetto Piattaforma 2i IoT per 2i Rete Gas rientrava nell'ambito dei progetti per la digitalizzazione della rete di distribuzione e ha avuto come obiettivo la realizzazione di una piattaforma IoT per la gestione delle comunicazioni con le periferiche distribuite nelle cabine e gruppi di riduzione (GR) della rete gas. Le periferiche gestite includevano diversi tipi di dispositivi di monitoraggio.
